Welcome to our Sanctuary

Dedicated to conserving the pure ancient wolf descendent, which colonized Australia over 5,000 years ago, and which, as Australia´s current top order wild predator, in either "alpine" or "tropical" type, is the only primitive wolf in the southern hemisphere.

The DNA tested pure dingoes at our facility represent a pure unbroken genetic line from the neolithic canid, that first crossed the domestic threshold. They are living fossils and a treasure trove for research.

Not only is our forest fringe property a sanctuary for our beautiful dingoes, we also offer exclusive luxury accommodation for those who want a very special experience of the abundant native bird and marsupial wildlife, walks in the bush, touching a dingo and hearing the dingoes´ melodic and disappearing howls.

During the past two decades we have selected and collected from all over Australia, a breeding colony which by DNA testing at University of New South Wales, is of 100% pure derivation. Not only that, but the dingoes at our sanctuary are for the most part tractable and socialized.

We make a point of handling and socializing all puppies to better equip them for life in a captive environment. Unfortunately that is all we can envisage for the foreseeable future of the species, for it´s purity is doomed in the wild, unless a safe reserve can be found for them which is free of hybrid wild dogs. However, this in no way impairs the natural instincts nor "domesticates" the species, and we remain vigilant against any forms of natural weakness, which nature would herself cull from the gene pool. That is why our policy is never to see the dingo as a "breed" under the loose rules and thoughtless human selection processes of canine associations.

Whilst our colony consists of mostly "alpine" type, and the DNA of all dingoes is virtually identical, we do keep the different strains separate in our breeding program.

Whilst not open to the public on a daily basis, we do conduct "Open Days" and welcome small groups most of the year by prior arrangement.
