Each evening at dusk the eastern grey kangaroos respond to the melodic song of the dingoes as they farewell the sun for the day, make their way out of the forest and take a drink from the waterhole before moving up to graze on our grassy slopes.
You can watch this peaceful opera of nature in comfort from a hammock on the observation patio outside the guest room, and retire to the echoes of the owls as they call to each other across the darkening valley and the orchestra of frogs and singing bush insects.
Watch as the city of Melbourne lights up in the distance, and pick out the flashing beacons of Queenscliff across Port Philip Bay and Western Port Bay. The city of Melton spreads its glimmering show in the nearer distance across the forest canopy.
At daybreak you will awaken to the morning dingo serenade and flights of brightly coloured rosellas, galahs and cockatoos as they come calling for a snack. The morning song of the Currawongs, warbling Magpies, and the raucous laughter of the Kookaburras will call you to take an early morning stroll in the adjacent forest to take in some of Australia’s very own flavour of nature, and tempt you to discover the dozens of varieties of more secret forest birds and animals, including wedge tailed eagles and the elusive koala, before the clouds lift to reveal the sparkling daylight vista.

We operate on a Bed and Breakfast basis, but can also arrange for any type of evening meal you may wish by special arrangement, whether it be a casual barbeque with a Fosters on the upper balcony, or an intimate candlelit affair with fine wine at the formal dining table, which also overlooks our secluded paradise. We can accommodate up to five people in two double and a single guest facility, each with private bathroom.
