Bob held numerous Australian and State records, including a world record in the 4 x 100m relay and an Australian and Commonwealth record in the 100 yards (9.2 secs) that still stands.
He represented Australia in 1962 Commonwealth Games and the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, reaching the semi final in the 100m and recording the fastest time for an Australian at the Olympics.
Yaouk managed to attract two sponsors with his delightful nature. Maggie Mooney and John Hogan.
Yaouk's stint in the Blacktown pound gives him something in common with John's certified assistance dingo, Donna, who also passed through the caring hands of poundkeeper, Ian Burr in her earliest days.
